At dewinter, we believe that business isn’t just about profit—it’s about people. It’s about purpose.
When the team at RASASC (Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Centre) came to us asking for help to raise £75,000, we didn’t hesitate. Because how could we?
Here was a chance to use our creativity and expertise for something that truly matters: supporting survivors of sexual violence, especially the young ones who are among the most vulnerable. These aren’t just statistics or faceless cases. They’re part of our community, and they need help.
When we sat down to create the Step Up for Survivors campaign, we knew it had to do more than just look good. It had to feel good. It had to connect. It had to inspire action.
The idea of “steps”—both literal and metaphorical—spoke to us. Steps toward healing. Steps toward justice. Steps toward a brighter future. Every piece of the campaign, from the branding to the messaging, was designed to reflect this journey.
But it wasn’t just about the visuals. It was about helping RASASC amplify their voice and their mission. To give them a platform that says, We see you. We hear you. And we’re here for you.
Here’s the thing: when a cause like this crosses your path, you don’t think, What’s in it for us? You think, How can we help?
At dewinter, we’ve built a business around storytelling. And this? This is one of the most important stories we’ve had the privilege to tell. It’s about courage. It’s about resilience. It’s about a business community coming together to make sure no one feels alone.
It’s also a wake-up call to other businesses in Cheshire. Because this isn’t just a RASASC problem—it’s a community problem. And if we all step up, we can create real, lasting change.
The Step Up for Survivors campaign is just about to launch. RASASC needs to raise £75,000 to fund two new child-focused roles: a Children’s Counsellor and a CHISVA (Children and Young People’s Independent Sexual Violence Advisor). These roles are critical. They’re life-changing. And we’re asking businesses to join us in making them a reality.
Here’s how you can help:
At dewinter, we often talk about creativity with purpose.
We’re proud to have played a small part in something so much bigger than ourselves. And we hope other businesses will look at this campaign and think, If they can do it, so can we.
So let’s step up. Together.
